Even that statement is downplaying it a million-fold. Bureaucracy is the downfall for Germany's advancement as a country, because it's too complex and impossible to navigate for foreigners, but not limited to that, also for domestic Germans, it's almost impossible to get anything done quickly and efficiently, and almost caveman like still make use of physical mail, paper forms etc for official instances in many cases makes it even more painstakingly awful.

Germany was always admired for its engineering in many fields, but alas, Germany is simply not an attractive country to be in, let alone due to the extreme rise of the right wing parties like AfD that is trying to resurrect the third reich over again.
