Member-only story
Look, I’m so sick of it. The SEO gurus promising #1 rankings overnight, the courses claiming to have “cracked the code” so your mediocre blog suddenly outranks everyone. If a magic, one-size-fits-all solution actually existed, wouldn’t we all be drowning in top-tier content? Nope, just clickbait promising to shortcut the actual work by self-taught “professionals” and “SEO-Gurus”.
Unlike many who offer advice online, I back my writing with formal education in business, marketing, and now computer science. This commitment to rigorous learning keeps me grounded in solid practices, not hyped-up “hacks”. (Find my LinkedIn on my profile.)
The BS Bingo Card
Listen for these gems, because they signal you’re being taken for a ride:
- “Guaranteed First Page Results!” — Unless they are literally paying Google, and thus risking your site’s existence, this is bull.
- “Secret Algorithm Tricks” — Google wants you to understand its algorithm! Quality content and a clean website are the foundation, not arcane keyword hacks.
- “My Student Made $10k Last Month!” — So can yours if they sell the same course hyping this crap. Circular logic ain’t proof of sustainable success.
