You might grasp the concepts, but no, you will absolutely not have absorbed it.
True natives to "insert culture" / "insert ethnicity" will have intrinsic cultural differences that are not to be learned merely by "researching" - Research will in 99% derive from second/third parties, whereas growing up in x or y culture as x or y ethnicity will be absorbed automatically from their first steps.
I am ethnically 100% pure blooded Korean, born in Seoul, raised in Scandinavia, I will never become Korean nor will I ever how hard I would try ever become fully Korean on a cultural level, and as such should I never portray myself nor try to characterise what it means to be "Korean."
It would be the equivalent of me, as a biological male, writing on what women can expect during pregnancy in the third trimester. Wouldn't make much sense would it?
